The Solar System ☀πŸŒ™

   There are 8 planets in the Solar System. The planets are Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus & Neptune. Mercury, Venus, Earth & Mars are the closest planets to Sun, they are called as terrestrial planets. Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus & Neptune are the biggest planets, they are called is gas giants.

 
     Nearly every planets and some of the moons has an atmosphere. Earth's atmosphere is primarily nitrogen & oxygen. Venus has a thick atmosphere of carbon dioxide, with traces of poisonous gasses such as sulfur dioxide. Mars's carbon dioxide atmosphere is extremely thin. Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus & Neptune are primarily hydrogen & helium.

     Asteroids, comets & meteors exists in the Solar System. Asteroid are essentially chunks of rocks. The largest asteroids, Ceres, is about 590 miles wide. Comets are balls of rocks and ice that grow tails as they approach the sun in the course of their highly elliptical orbits.
